Additional papers may be submitted for an extra fee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our submission portal (link in author menu above\/button below) allows for two alternative kinds of contribution formats to the conference:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\" style=\"border-width:2px;border-top-left-radius:5px;border-top-right-radius:5px;border-bottom-left-radius:5px;border-bottom-right-radius:5px;padding-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--10);padding-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--10);padding-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--10);padding-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--10)\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1) Full Paper Peer-Reviewed Submission<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Authors submit a complete paper for peer review. This paper will undergo peer review by two anonymous reviewers. Accepted and accordingly revised contributions are going to be published in <strong><em>Proceedings of Forum Acusticum 2026<\/em>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Peer-Review Process<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>The Topic Chairs are responsible for handling the peer review and assigning submissions to two qualified anonymous reviewers. Authors who submit for peer review may be asked to review other submissions matching their field of expertise.<br>The reviews provide evaluations and comments based on the following criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul style=\"margin-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);margin-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);padding-right:0;padding-left:0\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Novelty and originality<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scientific and technical quality<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clarity and structure of the submission<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Relevance to the conference topics<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Based on the review assessments, the Topic Chairs determine one of the following outcomes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul style=\"margin-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20);margin-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20)\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Accept\/accept with minor revisions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reject as peer-reviewed paper but accept as abstract\/title submission<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reject<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In case of potential conflicts of interest, an alternative Topic Chairs will be assigned to ensure an unbiased review.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Revision and Final Submission<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Authors of accepted peer-reviewed papers will receive a notification and the reviewers\u2019 comments. They are expected to address the comments and, where required, use the designated final paper template before the final paper deadline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The revised papers will be verified by the Topic Chairs to ensure that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul style=\"margin-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20);margin-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20)\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All requested changes have been implemented.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The formatting follows the official conference template.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Topic Chairs reserve the right to reject papers that fail to meet the required standards or do not adequately address reviewer feedback.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Important Dates<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td><strong>Event<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Deadline<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Initial Full-paper submission for peer review<\/td><td>March 31 2026<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Notification of acceptance\/review results<\/td><td>June 1 2026<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Final paper deadline<\/td><td>July 15 2026<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\" style=\"border-width:2px;border-top-left-radius:5px;border-top-right-radius:5px;border-bottom-left-radius:5px;border-bottom-right-radius:5px;padding-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--10);padding-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--10);padding-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--10);padding-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--10)\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2) Abstract\/Title Submission (no full peer review)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Authors initially submit an abstract (up to about 250 words) and title only. Topic Chairs review whether this submission is of sufficient quality and fits the conference. On acceptance, authors have the option to submit a final paper to be published in <strong><em>Documenta of Forum Acusticum 2026<\/em>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Selection Process<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>The Topic Chairs (or alternative Topic Chairs) will handle the inspection and selection process, with an evaluation oriented along the <strong>same set of criteria as for the full-paper category (1)<\/strong>, albeit not on the basis of studying a full paper but solely on the relevance and overall quality of the abstract.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The possible decisions are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul style=\"margin-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20);margin-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20)\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Accept<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reject<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Accepted non-peer-reviewed contributions will be included in the conference program but not in the peer-reviewed section of the proceedings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Important Dates<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td><strong>Event<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Deadline<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Abstract and title submission<\/td><td>April 30 2026<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Notification of acceptance<\/td><td>June 1 2026<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Final pdf deadline (opt.)<\/td><td>July 15 2026<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Presentation Formats<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Contributors to FA2026 should indicate <a href=\"https:\/\/conforg.fr\/bin\/usrlogin_fa2026\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/conforg.fr\/bin\/usrlogin_fa2026\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">during submission<\/a> a preferred presentation mode:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Oral<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Poster<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>or No preference (Oral\/Poster)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Based on the given preference, the final presentation formats will be assigned in the preparation of the conference schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Third paper policy<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Authors may submit a third paper for an <a href=\"https:\/\/forum-acusticum.org\/fa2026\/index.php\/registration\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"588\">additional fee<\/a>. If three papers are presented in total, <strong>at least one<\/strong> of them must be presented as a <strong>poster<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Obligations for authors<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Forum Acusticum is a live, interactive conference that relies on the active participation of authors and the subsequent discussions. The conference has a no-show policy: Papers that are not presented during the conference will not be included in the <em>Proceedings of Forum Acusticum 2026<\/em> or <em>Documenta of Forum Acusticum 2026<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"templates-and-formatting\">Templates and Formatting<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>All submissions must conform to the official conference templates, to be class=\"wp-block-heading\">Documenta of Forum Acusticum 2026<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Contributions selected based on initial submission <strong>(see Submission format 2)<\/strong> of a title and an abstract are invited to submit a final paper, which will be published in <em>Documenta of Forum Acusticum 2026<\/em>. The <em>Documenta<\/em> are an openly accessible preprint medium hosted on the <a href=\"https:\/\/dael.euracoustics.org\/\">DAEL<\/a> platform of the EAA. Each paper receives a <strong>DOI<\/strong> (Crossref). Submitted papers undergo formal checks to ensure suitability for online publication. Successful papers passing the full peer review and final checks are published in the <em>Proceedings of the Forum Acusticum 2026<\/em>. The <em>Proceeedings<\/em> are openly accessible on the <a href=\"https:\/\/dael.euracoustics.org\/\">DAEL<\/a> platform of the EAA. Each paper receives a <strong>DOI<\/strong> and the <em>Proceedings<\/em> have an <strong>ISSN<\/strong>.
