Open call for Topic Proposals

Forum Acusticum 2026 invites proposals for Topics (i.e. structured sessions) assigned to the large collection of Areas covered by FA2026. By proposing emerging or established Topics, researchers, practitioners, and industry experts are encouraged to help shape the scientific program of FA2026. Topics should reflect current challenges, trends, and innovations in the respective Area of acoustics.

How to submit a Topic

Topic proposals should be submitted by Oct 25th to the Area Chairs via email a<n>.papers2026@forum-acusticum.org, with <n> from 1 to 24; see area list.
Each proposal must include the following information:

  • The Title of the proposed Topic
  • The Name(s) + Affiliation(s) of the Topic Chair(s)
  • A brief Abstract of around 50 words summarizing the scope and focus of the Topic.

Notification of acceptance/changes of the proposal should be expected in the beginning of November.

Organizing a Topic

Topic Chairs are responsible for overseeing the review process of both full-paper submissions (category 1) and title/abstract submissions (category 2) within their Topic.
They also propose the order of the accepted contributions in their Topic and collaborate with the FA2026 Organizers and General Papers Chair in determining the appropriate presentation format (oral or poster) when the conference scheduling is done.
During the conference, at least one Topic Chair is supposed to attend in person and chair their respective session.

We look forward to your ideas and contributions in making Forum Acusticum 2026 an inspiring scientific gathering of the European and international acoustics community.
