Author information

Submission/Publication Formats

Our submission portal will allow two alternative kinds of contribution formats to the conference:

  1. Full Paper Peer-Reviewed Submission
Authors submit a complete paper for peer review. This paper will undergo peer review by two anonymous reviewers. Accepted and accordingly revised contributions are going to be published in
    Proceedings of Forum Acusticum 2026.
  2. Abstract/Title Submission (no peer review)
Authors initially submit an abstract and title only. Topic Chairs review whether this submission is of sufficient quality and fits the conference. On acceptance, authors have the option to submit a final paper to be published in
    Documenta of Forum Acusticum 2026.

The submission fee covers the cost of submitting up to two papers of 4-6 pages, all written in English and not previously published. Additional papers may be submitted for an extra fee.

Review Process

For peer-reviewed papers (1), the Topic Chairs are responsible for handling the peer review and assigning submissions to two qualified anonymous reviewers. Authors who submit for peer review may be asked to review other submissions matching their field of expertise.
The reviews provide evaluations and comments based on the following criteria:

  • Novelty and originality
  • Scientific and technical quality
  • Clarity and structure of the submission
  • Relevance to the conference topics

Based on the review assessments, the Topic Chairs determine one of the following outcomes:

  • Accept with minor revisions
  • Reject as peer-reviewed paper but accept as abstract/title submission
  • Reject

In case of potential conflicts of interest, an alternative Topic Chairs will be assigned to ensure an unbiased review.

For the title/abstract submission (2) with no full-paper review process, the Topic Chairs (or alternative Topic Chairs) will handle the inspection and selection process, with an evaluation oriented along the same set of criteria, albeit not on the basis of studying a full paper.

Revision and Final Submission

Authors of accepted peer-reviewed papers will receive a notification and the reviewers’ comments. They are expected to address the comments and, where required, use the designated final paper template before the final paper deadline.

The revised papers will be verified by the Topic Chairs to ensure that:

  • All requested changes have been implemented.
  • The formatting follows the official conference template.

The Topic Chairs reserve the right to reject papers that fail to meet the required standards or do not adequately address reviewer feedback.

Non-Peer-Reviewed Submissions

For non-peer-reviewed submissions (abstract/title only), the Topic Chairs will evaluate the relevance and overall quality of the abstract.

The possible decisions are:

  • Accept
  • Reject

Accepted non-peer-reviewed contributions will be included in the conference program but not in the peer-reviewed section of the proceedings.
